Dr. Abeer Neama Al-Hashemi 238-259
Abstract
I will discuss an important discipline, namely the science of verification, which is concerned with removing the dust of time from those venerable books buried in manuscript vaults. This research will discuss some of the issues encountered by researchers when attempting to verify manuscript texts. The research model will be one of the verified commentaries on morphology, namely the commentary on the intended meaning called «Al-Shukriya» by Ahmad bin Imad, esearched by Nidra Ali Abbas Al-Zubaidi. This is a master›s thesis submitted to the council of Diyala University, College of Education, Department of Arabic Language. The nature of the research required it to be divided into three parts, preceded by an introduction, followed by a conclusion, and a glossary of the research›s tributaries. The research›s main parts are:
The first part: A brief definition and explanation of the intended meaning of « Shukriyya thankfulness» and the morphological chapters included in the book.
The second part: A critique of the version adopted in the investigation. This part includes the problems that occurred in the investigation version, represented by omissions, obliteration, and distortion.
The third part: A critique of the researcher›s investigative character, as she made a number of linguistic errors, as well as her investigative methodology.
